Tootopia 23rd September – 25th September 2016: A celebration and festival of the history, independent businesses and the people of Tooting.
The restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars of Tooting are ready to host a whole array of exciting events and activities, for the biggest weekend in Tooting of the year.
Tootopia, now in its third year, is promising to be the biggest one yet! With a new Foodie Trailand Thirst Quest to be keeping you busy, there’s also a Street Food Takeover and a pooch parade (sign your furry friend up here) in the Graveney & Meadow beer garden. There are also craft fairs, a pop-up barbers & vintage boutique, Indeedy Musical Bingo, a Bowie Bowling Alley in The Antelope and a Tootopia Kids Play Cafe to entertain the youngsters.
There’ll be live music and DJ’s all weekend in the Tooting Tram & Social and The Manor and local acoustic artists Tommy McArdle and Niall Kelly will be popping up and performing all over Tooting, including Broadway Market during the day on Saturday.
Both Tooting and Broadway Markets are taking part in this year’s Tootopia including all the new arrivals. Craft Tooting will be hosting ‘meet the brewer’ events, a DJ on Saturday night and a movie day on Sunday. Pilango, the new craft cider shop, will be involved with the Thirst Quest and Big J’s Stack Town and Rucama Cafe will be a part of the Foodie Trail.
Tooting Market will be hosting a weekend full of fun, with Boom Bap Buger, Graveney Gin,Unwined and many more taking part in the food and drink trails, with kids activities during the day at Love Art and DJ’s in the evening in the market square.
