Nine Elms – Behind the scenes in London’s newest district
Every day thousands of commuters pass the new and emerging buildings that are beginning to change London’s skyline on the South Bank.
To tell the story of what’s happening behind the skyline at Nine Elms, Wandsworth Council commissioned this mini-documentary which looks at the redevelopment of a once barren industrial area from the perspective of new and old tenants.

how to destroy an area and price the locals out
Thanks for your comment Ian… not sure the creation of new schools, cafes, restaurants, pubs, revamp of New Covent Garden Market, creation of a New Embassy etc. count as "destruction" though.
Not destruction but definitely gentrification.

Thanks for the positive comment Peter. Yep – watching the area with interest and will be fascinating to see the changes over the next few years…
Thanks must go to Sten Morstead and his company C.L.S.H. They started the ' Ball Rolling ' around 12 years ago.
I took loads of photos around Battersea from 1982 to 1987. Those apartments that are on the west side of Battersea Power Station, were built on an old Coach station.
