Business Development and Communications.   Katharina will be helping us forge new partnerships and share best-in-class communications practices with our clients so they can get maximum value out of the videos we make for them – before, during and after their big day in front of the cameras.

Career

Katharina previously worked in strategic communications, press office and events and visits in the Department of Health, Foreign Office and Department for Education. She directed and coordinated high-profile communications campaigns including stakeholder management, press handling, social media, speeches and events. She has extensive experience working with the media on proactive and reactive media stories and worked as Sir Michael Parkinson’s personal press officer in his role as Dignity Ambassador. She led successful campaigns on subjects such as universal infant free school meals, curriculum, pupil premium, bowel cancer, the Dementia Strategy and the Prime Minister’s “Carers” Strategy.

Life Outside SWL.TV

Katharina’s a busy mother so when she’s not working, she’s usually with her son or volunteering for the school PTA. She’s also passionate about food, health and fitness as well as long walks in Wimbledon Common with her dachshund dog.

Career

Peter originally made a name for himself as an IT Project Manager, leading large international teams for multinationals like IBM and GSK both in the UK and abroad. He set up his own media production company in 2007 and soon realised the days of producing corporate videos on DVDs were numbered. He therefore re-imagined and re-created the company from the ground up, transforming it into the thriving community-led online TV channel it is today.

Getting to play with all the latest TV production toys. Meeting new people every week.  Feeling warm and fuzzy about charities and businesses we’ve helped promote on South West London TV.  Occasionally seen with a beard!

Life Outside SWL.TV

Lives in Putney.  Huge fan of everything the area has to offer.  Loves meeting new people and discovering new places. Doting Dad and occasional dog-walker.
