    1. +Barry McDYre They were told to stand down, to disobey would mean insubordination which is pretty much the capital crime in the military which would lead to a death sentence or life imprisonment (which all marines should and serving members of the forces should know). So tell me, do you think it was a good idea to risk war with Iran over a small misunderstanding of territorial waters, almost certainly would lead to all of the marines death as there were roughly 10 of them and not a battalion. Then they were told by the MoD to stand down and surrender, and if they disobeyed that order they would certainly be over powered and killed by the Iranians. Even if they managed to survive somehow and make it back to the UK somehow whilst being chased by much faster vessels and aircraft they would most certainly be court marshalled and sentenced to live in prison or a death sentence for possibly starting a war.
It was the smart thing to do, think type uneducated dribble please.

Learn to swim right now. Go to a pool and start swimming. Or do you mean you need lessons. If this is the case start now.

Do some research on military plyometric training because that is what most people struggle with.

      Good luck to you.
