Nine Elms youngsters bring monsters to life

Pia Jackson visits the Nine Elms regeneration area to see first hand how Wandsworth Council is working with local primary school children to get them interested in the changes going on around them and to excite their interest in the new arts and culture hub which has started to take shape. The "Monster Soup" project, funded by the Wandsworth Council and the Battersea Power Station Foundation, uses puppet theatre to explore connections between the River Thames and local communities, culminating in a lantern puppet parade through the area’s changing landscape. www.nineelmslondon.com www.pumphousegallery.org.uk @wandbc @PumpHouseGal @puppetswithguts @BatterseaPwrStn #monstersoup
